Uninstall MySearchDial


The removal of MySearchDial is a two step process
 
The first step is to uninstall MySearchDial from the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel
 
*Note: If MySearchDial is already uninstalled and not showing on your programs list please skip to step two
 

    Close all browsers
     


    Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel

    Under Programs Click on Uninstall a program (or Add/Remove Programs in Windows XP/Vista/7).

    Choose Mysearchdial and click the Uninstall/Change button.

      Second step is to reset your browser settings

       

      Choose your browser from the list below and follow the step-by-step instructions.


      Chrome

      Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and select settings
       


      1.Reset Homepage:
       
      Under Appearance check Show Home button and click Change

      Select Use the New Tab page or enter any other website address you like as your homepage

      2. Reset default search:
       
      Under Search choose Google or any other search engine you prefer from the drop down menu

      3.Under On startup section, click Set pages and delete "start.mysearchdial.com" registry by clicking on the small x to the right.

      4. Remove the new tab extension:
       
      Click the Extensions tab (left pane) click the trash bin icon to the right of Mysearchdial extension

      Firefox

      1. Reset Homepage:
       
      Click the Firefox menu (top-left corner) and select Options

      Under Home Page click the Restore to Default button click OK

      2. Reset default search
       
      Click the icon on the left part of the search boxDSfirefox
       
      Click Manage Search Engines

      Choose MySearchDial, and click Remove

      3. Remove the new tab extension
       
      In Firefox menu select Add-ons

      Choose the Extensions tab and click Remove or Disable on the right to Mysearchdial new tab item


      Internet Explorer

      Click on Tools button and choose Internet Options
       


      1. Reset Homepage:
       
      on General tab, Homepage section, click Use default button in order to use Internet Explorer default homepage (msn) or either write your preferred homepage site at the text box

      2. Remove the new tab extension:
       
      on General tab, Tabs section, click on Settings button
       
      In IE 7/8/9:

      Change When a new tab is opened, open: to A blank page or Your first home page

      3. Reset default search:
       

      In IE 7/8/9: On General tab, Search section click Settings

      Right-click your preferred search engine (e.g. Bing, Google) and select Set As Default. Then right-click on Mysearchdial entry and select Remove.

      In IE 10/11: On IE Tools menu, select Manage add-ons

      Select Search providers Right-click your preferred search engine (e.g. Bing, Google) and select Set As Default.
      Then right-click on Mysearchdial entry and select Remove
       
      Remove search provider


      Opera


          Click the Opera menu (top-left corner)

        • Select Preferences choose Search tab Select Mysearchdial entry and click Delete click OK

       

      Browser Compatibility
